Showing a word has a note

Hi,
I like to add notes while learning. For example i ask chatgpt for a word breakdown. And add the root of the word or some extra info (differences between 2 words with almost same meaning for example) as a note.
However, i cant see quickly which word has a note and which doesnt, which makes it you have to make a lot of extra clicks just to see if a word has a note.
Solution: add a small * or 1 on top/to the right of a word so we know it includes a note. Then if we see the word in a text we instantly know it has some extra info.
Would improve the user experience quite a bit :) Hope its possible!
Also I'm a new user, so i'd like to take this moment to say thank you for the app, enjoying it a lot so far!

That is true. This is something we are unlikely to do. If you are unsure about a word, tap on it to see the meaning and if there's a note, you will see it too. But, I see that the Note requires an addition swipe to expand the popup which it would be nice to avoid.
We have a setting on web to always show the note in the sidebar. We can see if we can't add that setting to the mobile apps so that the notes field would show in the mini popup. Would that help?

Mark Kaufmann it would be better, but still wouldn’t solve the problem. In traditional ebook readers, you can see instantly which words have a note attached to them because a little symbol shows in the text next to the word in question. Hover on it, and you see the note. On top of that, users can find a list of all the notes created in a separate section. This is very effective when you want to review the grammar points you jotted down without having to painstakingly going through the entire text again.

Mark Kaufmann not sure if that would help, i guess only if it shows automatically even if you dont click on something. If thats the case then yes.
The thing why your first advice doesnt really work in the end is because if we learned the word(s) they are not colored anymore and we wont click on them, so we will not see our notes anymore even if theyre still useful since they explain the exact difference for 2 words for example. So its not just the extra click, its also missing out the opportunity to see our notes as much as we would like to. Thats why a small sign would help a lot. Why is it unlikely, is it that difficult to add a * or something to words that have notes?

mootje mootjee Anything we add to the interface will be appreciated by some and annoying to others. If you are learning the word, you should tap to see all information you have saved including a note. If you have already learned a word, and don't want to tap on it, you don't need to review your notes. You should just keep reading and not interrupt your flow. Our basic philosophy is against nailing down every last bit of knowledge about a word. It isn't necessary.
Yes, some do like to do that but we aren't going to design our interface to enable it if it runs counter to our basic philosophy.

I have been asking for this for years, but they claim not many people use notes, therefore it's not a priority. I wish the reader was improved. It badly needs it.
