As a language learner, I am always interested in my progress with respect to vocabulary. In a different feature request, I asked for a distinction between passive and active vocabulary. In this one, I would like to see the number of words that are within a specific status. That helps me determine what to focus on, and also helps track progress.
I only use status 1, 4 and 5 (known), because the colors of the status values 2 and 3 (and new) are invisible to me (I am partially colorblind). So I only look at these 3 statuses, but the same reasoning works for someone who can see all statuses.

Knowing how many words are within a status value, gives me insight in what to focus on next. For example, having a relatively large part in status 1 (or 2 or 3) indicates I should try to increase my passive vocab with these words to reach 4 or 5. When status 1 (or 2 or 3) is relatively low, I can focus more on gathering new words, so my stock of new words can increase a bit.
Lingq could show these numbers in the profile status page, or even on the status line.
I appreciate feedback on this from both developers and language learners. Also, check out my feature request on active vs passive vocabulary. It could use a vote.
