There are several requests here for language X or Y, but it would perhaps be even easier (for the LingQ staff) and more useful (to the users) to allow users to add their own languages. Each user would then have to add all content themselves, but many of us probably do that anyway. There may exist native content as podcasts, audio books and videos, but it would be nice to import it all into LingQ in order to get the automatic transcriptions, or perhaps more importantly the entire course/lesson/LingQ framework. Having the official mini stories as a starting point is nice, but they are not necessary. This would also open the door for dialects. For example, there are several dialects that are so far from the official Swedish that even natives from other areas don't understand anything (kind of like the most obscure version of Chilean Spanish, but worse). If the language specifications (name, dialect, geographical area, etc) could then be shared, other learners would possibly get access to lots of new material, just as for the currently supported languages.
